And secondly, regarding Lebanon, we created a buffet zone there, a security area. We will remain there as long as necessary.
Iran wanted us to withdraw from there. That did not happen. Do you know why that did not happen? Among other reasons: because I stood very, very firm. I was very, very resolute on this matter.
And I think our American friends respect this determination and steadfastness.
We are staying there because we need to protect the residents of the north. And there are also other things that we are doing…>>

J’ai dit que c’était sa décision ; je le répète, c’est sa décision. Il est à la tête de ce projet et, bien sûr, j’ai exprimé mon opinion à plusieurs reprises.
Par ailleurs, j’ai dit que nous avions nos propres intérêts. Premièrement, concernant la menace nucléaire, je suis déterminé à faire en sorte que nous n’y soyons pas confrontés.
Deuxièmement, concernant le Liban, nous y avons établi une zone de sécurité. Nous y resterons aussi longtemps que nécessaire.
L’Iran voulait que nous nous retirions. Cela ne s’est pas produit. Savez-vous pourquoi ? Entre autres raisons : parce que j’ai été très ferme. J’étais très déterminé sur ce point.
Et je pense que nos amis américains respectent cette détermination et cette constance. Nous restons là-bas parce que nous devons protéger les habitants du nord. Et nous faisons aussi d’autres choses…
